April Tea Meeting

Dear Tea Friends

We had a lovely April evening over Korean Green Tea.  Next month we will be meeting at Korean Language Center on May 27th, Friday at 7pm.  This year's fresh new green tea from Korea will be waiting for us, Yah!!!  I hear this year's batch is especially delicious.  See you then.

March tea meeting

We had a lovely tea meeting at G Grippo. Thanks for hosting us.  
In April, we will be meeting at Korean Language Center, on Friday 22nd 7pm.  If you have not yet paid our annual membership fee of $30, please do so at our April meeting.  Also, Dr. Lee will be going on his tea buying trip after our April meeting so bring cash if you wish to buy this year's delicious Korean green tea.

Tea Time in January

Tea time in January.

We met on the eve of the biggest snow storm in NY city history.  It was fun and tea was tasty.  We had the usual Korean green tea and we tried organic Darjeeling tea from India.  Our February tea meeting will take place on February 26th Friday, 7 pm at Korean Language Center.  See you in February.

December end of the year get together

We had a lovely end of the year get together tea meeting at Kyoto and Robert's house. Robert is a Korean art dealer. His house is full of Korean arts. Also he has a warehouse full of Korean arts. If you are interested, please check out his website; Robert@KoreanArtSociety.org. He was featured at a Korean TV show. 

September Tea meeting

We had a wonderful tea meeting on the night of the Pope's visit to the United Nations. I thank Debbie for inviting us to her home and hosting September tea meeting. Her home was full of her art works past, present and future. She creates fascinating arts that challenge our assumptions about who we are and makes us think. She offered us home made ginseng and burdock root teas in 100 years old bone china set. Both teas generate heat for the body and we were definitely hot for the night. The teas were sent to Debbie by her mother who is a herb doctor in LA. We thank her mom. We also took a walk by the river and saw the night sky of NY city by the full moon. The rabbit on the moon was pounding the rice cake for Chusuk!

Our October Tea Meeting will be held at Korean Language Center, on October 23rd, Friday at 7 pm.  See you there. 

August tea meeting

Our August tea meeting was fun and very enlightening. We drank lots and lots and lots of Korean green tea. In the summer time, there is nothing better than hot Korean green tea to cool you down. But you say tea is hot! Well, that is true, but the nature of Korean green tea is cold, (not temperature but energy) so in summer time, if you run or climb a mountain after a drink of Korean green tea, you will not feel thirst, no matter how much you sweat!  (Ok, to a degree)  

We will meet in Brooklyn Dumbo area on Friday, September 25.  Joe will send you more information in the email.  Enjoy the Autumn sky and Chusuk!

July Tea Meeting at Puerh Brooklyn

We had our July tea meeting at Puerh Brooklyn in Williamsburg. I thank the tea shop owner, Gabriel Grippo for hosting us. Puerh Brooklyn is located on the street level and mezzanine level of his art & design shop and gallery,GGrippo.com, dedicated to sustainable fashion and accessories. It is a wonderful space just to visit and experience.
