May Tea Meet

For our May tea meet, we enjoyed tea presentation and all the various tea tastings by Sebastian at "In Pursuit of Tea."  It was great listening to Sebastian sharing his video and photo slides of his tea buying trips to Taiwan.  Maybe we can join him in his next trip.  (making of a Tea Book???)  We lost count of how many different teas we experienced but they were all good.  As Joe said, "It was very meditative to watch him prepare and serve the various teas. The cozy, rustic, and romantic setting of his tea shop made the evening that more special."

For our June tea meeting, we are going back to Lee Young Hee museum, www.LYHKM.org.  The meeting will be held on June 8th, Friday, 6:30pm.  Variety of teas from Korea will be tasted, including a tea from Baeckdu mountain of North Korea.

In July we have a very special tea event scheduled with our dear tea friend, Nini Ordoubadi. Nini will host a Persian afternoon tea at her tea house, Tay Home, www.TayTea.com, in Andes, New York on Saturday, July 14th at 2p. We plan to arrive in Andes, nestled in the Catskill Mountains in Delaware County, a short distance west of charming Woodstock, earlier in the day to experience the many shops & art galleries that the lovely town has to offer before our Persian afternoon tea with Nini. This should make for an enjoyable, day or weekend, tea event in the "country" among nature & fresh air. The cost for the Persian afternoon tea is $25.
